learn tO Meditate

Namaste!
Sattva Meditation is an ancient method passed down from the masters of the Kriya tradition in the Himalayas. It's a simple and potent technique - with Mantra and Kriya - to still the activity of thoughts, and experience the inherent bliss inside which it arises.
There are many benefits to meditation including reduction of stress, greater clarity and ability to focus, and the power to meet the ups and downs of life with equanimity. Meditation bears fruit over time with consistent practice. We learn to show up with patience, commitment and release the expectation of instant gratification. It teaches us to be here in the moment without the constant attachment to results in the future.
The recommended time to sit for meditation is 20 - 30 minutes, ideally twice a day. If this feels too difficult to start with, it's ok to reduce the length of time and increase gradually as you get more comfortable with it.
The technique is taught in the setting of a workshop in person over 2 and a half days. Typically this will be on a weekend starting on Friday afternoon and ending on Sunday evening, or it may run over two consecutive weekends. You'll received detailed, step-by-step guided instructions as well as a personal mantra just for you.
There will be a follow up group call online after approximately 40 days to check on your progress, answer further questions, and clarify any doubts that arise. You'll be encouraged to meditate for 40 days straight after leaving the workshop so that at the end of that period you'll have a real mediation practice. The time you invest daily into pulling back from routine activity, creates a stable foundation for you to function more optimally in all areas of Life.
