It’s possible a health diagnosis, the loss of a loved one, or the end of something has made you aware that Life has initiated you into the Unknown. You may be having a 'dark night of the Soul', even if you don’t fully know what that means yet.

I’m Monika, I’ve been there…

In 1995 I underwent life saving treatment for Stage 3C Ovarian cancer. After 6 months of hospital visits and invasive procedures including chemotherapy and an 8 hour operation to take away all the tumours in my body, I was declared Cancer free and starting the deeper journey to true healing. 

My brush with death was a harsh and painful wake up call, but it came with a 'Get out of jail free' card. The temporary suspension of expectations to fit in with the normal world, allowed me to do some deep soul-searching. I came to realise that I was living somebody else’s perfect life, not mine. And while it was full of dream vacations, fancy clothes, exquisite restaurants and an amazing social life, it just wasn't fulfilling for me. 

I didn't know what I wanted anymore, or where to find what was going to make me happy. I just knew that I couldn't go back to living the way I had been for so long. My Hero’s journey had begun, I was thrust into the Unknown. I was absolutely terrified at first, as well as lost and confused.

Then I discovered that there was a way to navigate through life without needing to have all the answers. What I needed to cultivate instead, was a new relationship with the Unknown as a source of magic, wisdom and power. 

In fact, this way of moving through life is more intelligent, fun and reliable to create the fulfilling outcomes we truly desire. Regardless of what we've been taught to believe, a life of aliveness, abundance, adventure and awe are our birthright. The darkness is an invitation to leave the familiar behind and step into our own unique Soul-Shaped adventure. I wrote a book 'Devotee Of The Void: poetry to walk you Home from a dark night of the Soul, into the altar of your heart' It's an ally for the Hero's journey you're on now, and my calling is to guide others to discover the wild freedom and ecstasy of living in their Dharma: a Divinely guided life.
